- Highest point: Tomlishorn 2,128 m. Esel 2,118 m (viewpoint above the cog railway station), Oberhaupt 2,106 m.
  Pilatus-Bahnen quotes 2,132 m for Pilatus Kulm; that is the operator's figure, not a summit height.
- Cog railway Alpnachstad - Pilatus Kulm: steepest in the world, maximum gradient 48%, opened 1889, electric since 1937,
  new cars 2023. 2026 season 11 May - 29 November; first ascent 08:10, last 17:30; last descent 18:04. No winter service.
- Panorama gondola Kriens - Krienseregg - Fräkmüntegg and Dragon Ride cableway Fräkmüntegg - Pilatus Kulm: most of the
  year; closed for maintenance 19 October - 27 November 2026 (and 30 - 31 March 2026).
- Boat Lucerne - Alpnachstad: 11 May - 18 October 2026. Golden Round Trip (boat, cog railway, cableway, gondola, bus 1)
  therefore effectively 11 May - 18 October 2026. Silver Round Trip = train instead of boat; it is not a winter product.

  Fräkmüntegg via Klimsen and the Chriesiloch staircase 3.8 km / +797 m / about 2 h 40.
- Summit walks: Tomlishorn Flower Trail (T1, well secured, mid-June - October, about 1.5 h return), Esel about 15 min,
  Oberhaupt loop about 20 min, Dragon path galleries 20 - 40 min. No extra ticket needed at the top.
- Summit climate (MeteoSwiss normals 1991-2020): July/August mean about 9.5 - 9.8 °C, January/February about -4 °C;
  about 10 °C colder than Lucerne on average. Inversion days can be sunnier and warmer at the top.

## Corrections to claims found elsewhere

- The Esel is not the highest peak of Pilatus; the Tomlishorn (2,128 m) is.
- The cog railway runs until 29 November in 2026, not only until October.
- The Swiss Travel Pass does not include Pilatus; it gives a discount on the mountain section.
- The Silver Round Trip is not a winter trip: it needs the cog railway, which does not run in winter.
- The Dragon path is a short gallery walk at the top, not a route up the mountain.
- The Lucerne dragon stone is not a meteorite: a 2007 scan showed it is fired clay.
